Today, on the show I talk about an exciting event that is coming up next week, San Diego Comic Convention (SDCC). SDCC is the mecca of all comic con! I was so excited when they chose my panel (Cosplayers, Ready your Swords!) that I pitched to them to be part of the 50th anniversary of SDCC. Make sure you check out the schedule for my panel. We’ll be doing some meet and greets, autographs and more. Or just stop in a say hello!

I’ve spent the past couple of months preparing for the panel. My approach to the panel was the same as any other event or show. Prepare, prepare, prepare! I tend to over prepare – – although, I do not believe there really is such a thing.

I am really excited about this panel, because I am hoping that cosplayers and martial arts enthusiasts will leave feeling like they got value out of the panel as well as entertainment. I have worked hard to prepare something entertaining, fun, and educational.

Putting on a kung fu show was a no brainer! My kung fu team from all over the USA was super excited to join the panel as the performers and models for the educational portion of the workshop. The show won’t be a traditional kung fu show, but rather a mash up of cosplay and kung fu!

I am really grateful to have the team support and enthusiasm. Thanks to Jason, Ricardo, Lei Ann, Hiep, Alvin and Pete for stepping up to perform! It will be a lot of fun to see what costumes they will be wearing for the event.

It has been a bit daunting preparing for the largest Comic-Con on the planet, but exciting at the same time. I am looking forward to seeing all the cosplayers in their fullest!

Am I going to cosplay? A question I keep getting! I am not sure, however I will be bringing my ‘Comfy Mulan’ outfit – so that counts right?

My Comfy Mulan Cosplay…Mushu may also be attending SDCC with me!

If anyone is planning on being at SDCC, I would love to know! Please visit my panel and stop in to say hello at the autograph booth immediately after!
