Tim Larkin is a former military intelligence officer who was part of a beta group that redesigned how Special Operations personnel trained for close combat. He has a 25-year career of training people in 52 countries on how to deal with imminent violence.

He developed Target Focus Training (TFT), a system designed to quickly stop any attacker by inflicting crippling pain using simple, intuitive movements anyone can do. During the last 20 years, he’s trained not only elite military special forces and law enforcement units but corporate and civilian clientele in New York, Las Vegas, London, and other cities around the world.

I enjoyed his book When Violence is the Answer, Learning How to Do What It Takes When Your Life Is at Stake, and enjoyed talking to him about it this episode.
